“Nostalgia is important to me and so is intimacy. My “Why” is creating spaces where these moments can thrive through the creation of clothing, artwork, and the nurturing of a community. How can I create a home that my younger self would love? How could I affirm them? What would they wear? My ultimate why is to provide space for the expression of black identities, even if that means making some people uncomfortable.”
